Sheikh Ehsan Abdullah Hannan conducted the study of the Arabic language and Shariah at the Islamic University of Madinah in the early 90s. There he delved into the world of Aqeedah and Fiqh under Shaykh Muhammad al-Mukhtar al-Shinqitee. By the mid-90s he had memorised the Qur’an in Egypt and spent the remainder of his time under the guidance of Shaykh Muhammad Ismail studying tazkiyah, tafsir and fiqh.

Whilst studying in Makkah, he received ijazah in the 6 books. He continued his studies in Syria where he received the ijazah in Shafi’ fiqh and tajweed by a senior reciter in Syria, Shaykh Muhammad Krim al-Rajhi.

In Riyadh, he renewed his study of Aqeedah with Shaykh Abd al-Latif. In the coming years, he conducted his masters in Islamic Studies and began his PhD on Ibn Al-Qayyim's Madarij al-Salikeen.
