Shaykh Asim Yusuf, PhD
Shaykh Asim Yusuf is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a special interest in Islamic Spirituality and Mental Health. In addition to being on an advisory capacity on various community based projects and charities, he serves on the advisory panel of the Centre for Islam and Medicine.
He is the founder and director of one of the largest grass-roots teaching organisations in the UK, the Path to Salvation Diploma in Islamic studies, in addition to, the Sacred Texts syllabus.
He is also the author of four books that delve into the various facets of Islam, with a particular focus on classical spirituality.
He is a recipient of over twenty years of theological training at the hands of prominent scholars of Islamic law and spirituality. He has been granted formal authorisation to teach students in the art and science of Islamic thought by over thirty scholars from across four continents.
